Each year in the Promotional Products Industry we celebrate what we are with Promotional Products Week – basically a celebration of our industry to help you, our customers, see the benefit of investing your marketing spend in Promotional Products. in Conjunction with the BPMA (The British Promotional Merchandise Association) the whole industry joins together to promote what we do.

Now it would be easy for us to tell you how wonderful we are (we are trust us) and tell you why you need to buy from us but the BPMA have gone one step further and commissioned some independent research* into our industry through recognised Marketing agencies & Specialist analysis to ensure that the facts we present are correct and official.

Did You Know??

  • Over 70% of the marketers we spoke to are using promotional products as a brand awareness tool
  • The best gifts are considered useful in everyday life… or better still edible!
  • It’s not just the traditional promotional product types being purchased – Pens lead the way with 91% of buyers of those surveyed seeing them as a perfect product, however 66% of buyers prefer an electronic item (USB, Powerbanks) and branded clothing at 62% also very popular
  • Over 70% of the marketers we spoke to are using promotional products as a brand awareness tool

 

  • In the eyes of marketers, a quality promotional product that is memorable is the key to success:-

          Key reasons for the route to success: Quality – 81%, Memorable – 71%, Relevance – 69%, Usefulness – 65%, Long desk life  – 31%

  • The typical spend per item is £1.01 – £2.50 but over 20% of those surveyed spend under £1 – there is a product to suit every budget
  • Over 45% of those surveyed would return to a company they had purchased from previously – siting a strong, trusted relationship as the key to business
  • Understanding my needs (9.2/10), Customer Service Experience (8.7) and Price of Products (8.4) were the key factors for choosing a supplier of promotional products

*The survey was commissioned by the bpma. Individual interviews were carried out by an independent research agency to 1000 respondents, the results of which were published in Spring 2013. Sectors represented in the survey included finance, IT, retail, services, insurance, charity and education.
